Boil Water Notice Lifted for AVHCWD 11-27-24
The boil water notice issued for the Apple Valley Heights County Water District on November 16, 2024, was lifted today, November 27th, following the results of water tests that concluded no contamination was present.
Customers no longer need to boil their tap water for consumption or to use bottled water.
The boil water notice was issued as a precaution following a loss of water pressure due to a water main leak on Ocotillo Way. Staff collected water samples, and our water lab conducted water quality tests to determine if contamination occurred. Following the testing and monitoring, no contamination was found.
The District, in conjunction with the State Water Resources Control Board, determined that the water is safe to drink through abatement of the health hazard and comprehensive testing of the water.
The District conducts regular water sampling and quality testing throughout the distribution system to ensure the safety of the water delivered to homes.
